This song is recorded from vinyl and has, by default, pretty unbalanced EQ.
Acouste nicely fixes the EQ image, properly distributing the song’s frequency layout; the vocals sound normal, the bass is nicely added and the amount of hi-hats sound just right.
Without Acouste the song has noticeably too few vocals/mid-tones, too many hi-hats and it lacks enough bass.
